watched last april 19 2008 saturday after duty on work...
at the metropolis alabang cinema 4 @ around 3 or 4pm

which casts...
-Jackie Chan as HOP (thrift store owner) or LU YAN (drunken immortal)
-Jet Li as SILENT MONK (from hair of the monkey king) or SUN WU KONG (monkey king) [sun wu kong = son gokou]
-Collin Chou as JADE WARLORD (the evil one or greedy one)
-Michael Angarano as JASON TRIPITIKAS (traveler or the boy)
-Liu Yi Fei as GOLDEN SPARROW (orphaned warrior)
[she's so beautiful, she's on the show "condor heroes"]
-Li Bing Bing as NI CHANG (white haired assasin or the greedy girl)

Simple summary:
Michael (Jason) is a boy who loves kung fu or martial arts, who always dreams of the monkey king and jade warriors on top of the five elements mountain and goes to a shop owned by Jackie Chan (Hop). Due to some bullies that wanted to steal money from the old man (Hop), and before he die, he told jason to deliver back the staff to the rightful owner, and he was transported back in ancient china qwhile the bullies chases him.

He then met Jackie (as the drunken immortal), and Lu Yan told the story of the monkey king and the his fight with the warlord on which the monkey king turned to stone, and while the story was told in a restaurant, they were surprised attacked by some warriors, and a mysterious woman saved them which is the golden sparrow. The existence of the staff was known by the warlord so he then ask Ni Chang, the white haired assassin to find it for him and give it to him so as not to follow the prophecy.

Jason wanted to learn kung fu then they (Lu Yan, Golden sparrow) traveled, but on their way, the staff was stolen by a guy in white which is Jet Li (silent monk).
They traveled, but Ni Chang is always there to interfere....

At a point, Lu Yan is dying, so Jason went to see the warlord, to exchange the staff with the elixir of immortality... but a duel was done, a fight between Ni Chang and the boy, and of course, the boy lose the battle...He was saved by his friends who then came rushing in the palace...

At the end, the monkey king was free... but the golden sparrow died due to the cause that she wanted to kill the warlord for revenge. The warlord was killed and stabbed by the traveler named jason. Before he went back home to his own time, he was thanked by the jade emperor...

When he got back to his time... jason uses his kung fu to fight with the bullies.. and see if Hop is okay and learned that the old man is Lu Yan, and he also saw a girl, which is the golden sparrow...

~i dont know if this is true, some parts dont have subtitles, but still i understood what they say, cause i can understand chinese e... =)
