This is really long
and you don’t have to read this..
I just wanna share what happen…
I think, before i leave, my brain was already tired of thinking, and i think this trip made my brain to stop thinking of nonsense. so, now (2007) , im back!! and my brain is not the same as before. and i think that is good...
and i love it like this.. (when you shake it like that, .. can you move it like this, i can shake it like that... point to the east... i think this is a song..!!)
So, this is maybe a good start for my new year....
my Trip to KOREA starts here....
Dec 29, 2006 (Fri)
In the morning, my dad woke me up
at around 7am to prepare all my things and be ready. Because my uncle’s driver
will be the one to pick me up at our house and bring me to their house and we
will go all together to the airport. Suddenly at around 9 am, my dad also comes
to send me to the airport because he will go to Baclaran (so, he just went on a
free ride, haha).Upon entering the airport, the passport and ticket will be
checked so I got it from my bag.. but upon putting my bag on the X-ray machine,
suddenly I cant find my Electronic Ticket
(E-tckt) but luckily my passport is still there. I don’t know how, but I really
cant find it.. cant find it everywhere, I went in and out of the x-ray machine
and the detector, I just cant find it (even though the people there are asking
why am I going in and out of the detector). When I couldn’t find it, I
quarreled with a guy there and I told him (or maybe ask him) that “ikaw yata kumuha
ng ticket ko e”, but he said “no”, so I just went in and out (again) to find it
but still cant find it. And then, I was at a panic mode state plus my auntie.
Afterwards, one of my auntie (mom of my cousin Bianca) told us that it’s just
okay and we can get another one (replacement) for that. Then, I didn’t notice
before that I was holding my combination lock open and so you can change the
combination easily. After entering (without my ticket and still in a panic
mode), I suddenly lock my bag (naprapraning na kasi!!!) , then when I was about
to open it, and did the combination, it wont open… and still wont open. So I
panic a little bit because my money is in there but luckily I was holding my
passport and my boarding pass so, my uncle paid my the terminal fee. At the
immigration lane, I started to guess the combination lock that was accidentally
change, and at that time, I become a burglar-like and try to open the lock..
and luckily (when my panic mode started to subside), I opened it by guessing
and listening to the sound of the lock. After the immigration, we then enter
and eat lunch (because by then, it was already around 12noon already and our
flight (OZ 702) was around 1:20pm), we ate KFC bucket meal with pies.
Afterwhich, we board the plane, but the flight was delayed for a while and the
plane took off at around 2pm already and the flight is for around 4 hrs, so
we’re going to arrive at Incheon (I
don’t know if it’s a part of seoul) at around 6pm. The plane was so nice, it
has a TV and I drank Red Wine and ate Fish. I also watched “Step Up”, the story was nice, the girl looks like Vanessa Hudgens
of High school musical and the guy looks like John Cena. Upon finishing the
movie, we already arrived in Korea,
instead of arriving at 5pm, we arrived at 5:40pm (6:40pm korea time). After immigration and
getting the baggage, we started getting our coats at our luggages and then went
out the airport, it was so cold, I think at around –12 degrees Celsius,
its also kinda windy then. We took pictures
upon waiting for the bus, but of course, the bus was delayed too, it arrived at
around 8pm. We then went straight to a Korean restaurant and eat glass noodle,
kimchi, mushroom casserole. After that, we checked in at a hotel “Best Western Premier Hotel”, at around
11pm, my cousins and I went out .. and it was really cold, you can see your
breath, we bought some ice creams (I don’t know the price of the ice creams
because my uncle was the one who paid for it). We then go back to the hotel and
I slept at around 1am Korea
time (12noon Philippine time).
*The first “malas” was about the
ticket and the second one was about the lock. Luckily, I don’t have a third one
then.
Dec 30, 2006 (Sat)
I woke up at 7am (morning call),
but last night I just said that I was going to wake up at 6:30am korea
time.
Starting here: the time I am going to use
will be korea
time
We ate breakfast at 8am, I forgot
what our breakfast is and I only remembered that there was rice and egg. 9am we
already went off with our luggage. We went to Everland (an amusement park), we
arrived there at 11am but before arriving there, we passed at 4 tollgates
first. Inside the Everland, the place
was nice. At first, we rode a bus (Safari), we went to see a mini-safari where
there are bears, lion, tiger, and a tiger-lion animal. Then ride a cable car and went down (cable car na
hindi sarado, cable car on which there’s just a chair), then lunch, as far as I
remember, we ate Udon (rice, katsudon [the pork one], noodles, kimchi,
radish). At around 2pm, next one, we
rode a “salbabida”, they call it as a snowbuster
where you sit down on a “salbabida” and go down a hill-like snow structure.
After that, we go on a realto-like, where you just sit and watch a show and the
chair’s moving, but I hate the show because the chair only move a little and
its not that fun. And then, we ride again the cable car to go up, and the last
ride that I rode was i don’t know the name of the ride, (iyong umiikot, then
the chair was like the roller coaster) and because all of my cousins and
relatives and other “kasama” were afraid, I was the only one who ride that one
(because I want too). It was fun riding that.
Around 3 plus or 3:30pm, we already went out that place and find
security guards, because there uniform was so cool (because of the winter
season), and took a picture with them. But of course they don’t know how to
speak English, so I tried to understand Korean language and I think I had
understand it so we had taken pictures with them. We went back the bus and at
6:20pm, we had a toilet break and the dinner was supposed to be at 6:30pm and
so we are late. At the bus, the tour guide was telling stories about korea,
that they also celebrate moon cake festival but for them,it is called meat
autumn festival; Koreans also like to see the sunrise at the 1st of
January; the last dynasty was stopped at I think 1945 by the Japanese, and I
remember now, that she was also saying 1910, I think it’s the start of the last
dynasty. I don’t know how I remember all
of these. We passed South Danyang tollgate at
7:20pm, and Went to dinner (Beef bulgogi) and finished at around 8:20pm, and
then went to another hotel because we were not at Incheon already, we arrived
at Danyang province. The place (Daemyung Resort 1)was just a hotel-like
but Japanese style because we slept on the floor with just the mattress,
there’s also a kitchen there and table. We were supposed to go to the Aqua
World but it closes at 9pm so it was rescheduled to the next morning.
Dec 31, 2006 (Sun)
Our morning call was 6am and breakfast
at 7am. At 8:30am, my cousins Bianca, Hans and I were already reading for
swimming-sauna. So we went there at the Aqua
World located at the basement of the hotel or resort, stayed until around
10am only because we again need to go. But Bianca and I were a little late,
because we still need to pack out luggage. We were back at our room at 10:15am,
and we change our clothes, and 10:30, we are all off-to-go. Sleep again on the
bus and at the bus, watched “Jewel in the palace” summary version. 12:15pm, we
again have a toilet break, and eat something (snacks), then at 12:30pm-
continue traveling again. Ate lunch (Korean Set menu) and then 2pm we are again on the bus going to
Pyeong Chang Resort for Ski. The YongPyung
Resort
–this is the “Winter Sonata” shooting place.
We started skiing at
around 3pm (plus skiing lessons for beginners) because before that, we still
need to get the suite and also the shoes and everything for skiing. We finished
skiing at around 4:30pm, returned the shoes and suite at around 5:15pm-5:30pm.
Next travel as to go to Seorak / Sorak. We passed the Hoenggye tollgate then
ate dinner and finished eating at 8:30pm (forgot what we ate: I think hot pot
stone or watsoever), then go to hotel (I mean, Daemyung resort 2). The place was again Japanese style so we slept
on the floor again. I slept at around
12:01am, the people there are too noisy because of the countdown to New Year,
but we were all sleepy and tired so we just rest and sleep.
Jan 01, 2007 (Mon)
Morning call was 6am, and 7am breakfast,
we were at the bus at 8am, then the tour guide talked about again about the
1910-1945 dynasty, and also feng shui. Then we went to a gas station to let the
bus eat breakfast too. We arrived at Mt Seorak Nat’l Park and ride the cable
car (can accommodate up to 50people at a time) at around 8:30am. We go up the
mountain (time limit: 9:05-9:50am), the mountain was slippery because of the
melted ice/snow, and I was almost there at the top but I was afraid on how can
I go down so Bianca and I have decided to not continue anymore, but we were
almost there. When you fall down that mountain, I think its either you are
injured or dead, so I was a little afraid back then. Go to the shinheungsa
temple and kwonggeumsen fortress. Back at the bus at around 11am and at 2:20pm,
ate lunch (grilled fish with side dish kimchi and etc), At around 12 or 1pm, we
were back to the bus and we’re going to go back to Seoul (Soul of Asia)
already, Instead of only traveling 4-5 hours, because of the heavy jam traffic
there at the highway, at around 10pm , the tour guide bought us some snacks to
eat and eaten some noodles (udon) at around 11pm and at this time we had only
traveled around 15 kms, so I think 1 km per hour because of that “I don’t know
reason” traffic, the Korean people who were at the traffic jam were already
depositing and people were making the streets- a restroom already and when
there’s a toilet- always have a long line. Then we had arrived Seoul
at around 1 am of January 02 already and we were already tired. Because January
02 is not a holiday there, the Korean people rushed going back to Seoul from Mt. Seorak
(where Korean people rush to see the 1st sunrise of the year). Around
1:16 am, tour guide still let us, eat dinner (rice, kimchi, miso soup, tofu).
We checked in the hotel (Lotte
World Hotel-
a five star plus plus hotel) at1 plus then I sleep at around almost 3am
already. Upon traveling, my head really hurts.
Jan 02, 2006 (the last day) (Tues)
We woke up at around 8am, and
then had Buffet Breakfast at the hotel’s 2nd floor (Lotte World
Hotel). At around 9:15, we arrived at the Lotte
World (its an amusement park), and its just a walking distance from the
hotel, we then entered the South gate of the lotte world. We played and had fun
there inside until 12:40pm, we ride something that is same as what’s at
Enchanted kingdom, and then Bump Car, then, IMAX (it was so nice, and the
chair’s moving… we were like a moving wood on a rollercoaster), next is the 4D
one- where there’s wind-splash of water (we watched a Korean dub –english show)
and my shirt was a little wet because of the water. there's the merry go-round there, where the "Stairway to heaven" shooting place/scene. at a time, at that merry-go-round while we are still there, there were also someone shooting on that place but i dont know the actor and actress. After which, my cousins and
I were supposed to ride something but there isn’t enough time already so at 1pm
–we go and eat lunch (ginseng chicken soup), at that place, I drank, I think
that was, 4 shots of the wine-and I think the wine was “matapang” but still can
manage. After that, because we were already running out of time, so we didn’t
go to the kyungbok palace (but we had pass by it), nat’l folk museum, blue
house (I don’t know if I had seen it), and amethyst factory. So we just
directed to the Ginseng Centre at around 2pm to 3pm, and I didn’t buy anything
there because I don’t need it and plus, it’s expensive. Back to the bus and go
shopping atsouvenir supermarket– duty free like, and I had bought some seaweeds
and a crunch choco biscuit (chocolate and vanilla flavor only because the
ginseng flavor is of course, not delicious) and plus I also bought a spoon with
a pair of chopstick – I think all in all, it costs… around going $ 48. it’s a
duty free-like so you may use other currency. After this, we already went to
the Incheon Airport.
We put back the coat at our luggage and checked in and get our boarding pass,
and inside the airport- we ate Tony Romas
(ribs, chicken, fries, softdrink). We then wait for our flight (OZ7013), our
departure time was 19:45 korea
time so that is 7:45pm so 6:45pm Philippine time. The flight was not delayed
and arrive Philippines
at 11 pm Philippine time. we ate beef at the plane and i drank 2 or 3 glasses of red wine. Upon arriving here, immigration here has really a long line so we
finished at the immigration at around 12am plus already then gets our baggage.
I went home with my uncle and auntie, I slept at their house. I slept at around
3am because I took a bath and still blow dry my hair.
Jan 03, 2007 (Wed)
At my auntie’s house,
I woke up
at around going 11am.
We Ate breakfast (take out jollibee with iced tea). Chat
with my auntie, and then watch TV (cartoon network with my cousin)- Afterwards,
at around 12noon, my uncle and auntie will be going to send me home. But at
around 2:00pm, we first went to Sta Cruz, Ling nam and eat noodles (beef), at
around 3pm, I already got home. I
arranged my things, unpacked them. Then at around 4 or 5, I watched Batman at
HBO and then watched ghostfighter at 5:30pm. And etc… (nothing important anymore…)
Just hate DSL again, until now,
its not yet okay…
Because of the no-or-slow
connection of the internet, I can’t upload the pictures yet…
So, COMING NEXT….
The
pictures from the trip to korea…
*Some pictures are blur, and some
are nice… its because some are taken while inside the bus and the screen
sometimes gets blur because of the cold weather too.
i hate it, it did not rain snow
, when we are still there in korea... i only saw snow, but not the falling ones.
really had fun with my cousins Bianca (roommate) , Hans, and Katrine. plus with my uncles and aunties, and still with some others...
BELATED Merry New Year Everyone....
